Art Classes is with a NT registered ‘Art and Design’ teacher with a current working with children card. Beginners or people wanting to build on existing skills are welcome. Individual or small groups can be accommodated.
Structure Meets Style in the Art Class
Level 1
A Preparatory Course in Drawing and Painting
Opportunity is provided for students to develop their creativity as they learn artistic skills. Historic and cultural background of artists and practices will be discussed where applicable, but essentially a practical unit.
Level 2
Drawing and Painting
Build on skills developed in Level 1
Level 3
Advanced Drawing and Painting
This course is designed for the serious art student wishing to sharpen their artistic skills and learn more advanced techniques. Where applicable there will be reference to the related art trends and styles
Studio Time
A less formal class where students are more self directed but can seek the guidance of the teacher. Designed for final year students or people wanting to put together a portfolio for further study.
Expectations
These courses will focus on presenting demonstrations of different skills used in art and design and then there will be an expectation that the student will attempt the task. For those students that want a space and time to do self initiated tasks, there is supervised studio time available.

Art classes for Children
After School Children’s Art Classes are provided during School Terms at $25 a class with a one - off payment for materials. Classes are conducted on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 3.30 – 5.00 pm.
Students complete skills tasks and then work on completing their own artwork. A range of skills and materials will be used and the classes will be tailored to the students interest. These classes are designed to build on what the children are already doing at school.
Students $25 for 1.5 hours
Art Classes for adults
Adult classes can be specifically designed for an individual or a small group.
Individual art tuition $40 per hour
Adult art classes $35 for 1.5 hours
