acknowledgement

I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of all the different sites I have used as inspiration for this painting. I would like to pay tribute to the way they looked after the land for thousands of years and pay my respects to the elders past, present and emerging. Some of the emerging I have had the great privilege in teaching European knowledge but in return I was rewarded with the opportunity to learn so much more about the majestic, ancient  continent I now inhabit.

I would also like to acknowledge the Territory Wildlife Park who supported me with information and access to rare birds, animals and landscape during a residency there in 2016. Many of the birds, animals and landscapes included in the painting are based on studies done from the park.
